PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE to Recommend Adoption of a Zoning Ordinance Amendment to the Township Board
The Charter Township of Alpena Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on November 12, 2020 at 7:00 pm to recommend adoption of a zoning ordinance amendment to the Township Board. The public hearing will be held at 4385 US 23 North, Alpena MI 49707. Written comments may be sent to the above address prior to the meeting. The public may appear at the public hearing in person or by counsel. The amendment modifies the Charter Township of Alpena Zoning Ordinance as follows: Section 201 – amend the definition of accessory dwelling unit and add the definition of small cell wireless facility. Section 331 – allow utility facilities in any district when locating there is necessary to serve the district. Site plan review shall be required. Screening may be required.
